To support you in accessing the right help when you need it, we’ve compiled a list of resources that offer reliable information, guidance, and support across a range of mental health and wellbeing areas.

Kid's Help Line
Kids Helpline is Australia’s only free (even from a mobile), confidential 24/7 online and phone counselling service for young people aged 5 to 25. Qualified counsellors at Kids Helpline are available anytime and for any reason. Resources are available for kids, teens, young adults, parents and carers, and schools and teachers.
Lifeline
Lifeline provides confidential crisis support that is accessible 24 hours a day. Lifeline encourages any person in Australia who is contemplating suicide, experiencing emotional distress, or caring for someone in crisis to call, text or chat with Lifeline. Regardless of your age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or religion, Lifeline are trained crisis supporters who are ready to listen, support, and help you work through what’s on your mind. MensLine Australia
MensLine Australia offers free professional 24/7 counselling support for men with concerns about mental health, relationships, anger management, family violence (using and experiencing), parenting, stress, and suicidal thoughts. Available via online chat, phone or video counselling.
1800RESPECT
1800RESPECT is the national domestic, family and sexual violence counselling, information and support service. Call 1800 737 732, text 0458 737 732, chat online or video call via the website.
Suicide Call Back Service
Suicide Call Back Service offers free professional 24/7 telephone counselling support to people at risk of suicide, concerned about someone at risk, bereaved by suicide and people experiencing emotional or mental health issues.
Child Abuse Report Line
If you believe a child is in immediate danger or a life-threatening situation call Triple Zero (000).If you have a reason to suspect a child in Queensland is experiencing harm, or is at risk of experiencing harm or being neglected, contact Child Safety Services Centres and talk to someone about your concerns.
The Acute Response Team at Children's Hospital Queensland
The Acute Response Team (ART) at the Queensland Children's Hospital is a 24/7 crisis line for children and young people up to 18 years of age, their families, and carers who may require urgent mental health support.
ClearlyMe® for Teens - Blackdog Institute
ClearlyMe® is an app designed for teens aged 12-17 years who are experiencing depressive symptoms, psychological distress or in other words, going through a tough time. Download for free on the app store.
SANE.org
SANE offers a range of free digital and telehealth support services for people over 18 years of age with complex mental health needs, and their family, friends and carers. We also provide mental health support to people with intellectual disability, autism or acquired brain injury.
The Butterfly Foundation
The Butterfly Foundation can help people with: - eating or body image issues – whether you are concerned you might be experiencing one, are in recovery, relapse or not completely sure if you’re ready for recovery- Family, friends, partners and colleagues of people with an eating disorder or body image issue- Teachers- Clinicians- Employers- Anyone with a question about eating disorders or body image. Helpline is available 8am to midnight.
Relationships Australia Queensland
Relationships Australia Queensland provides a wide range of support services focused on improving relationship wellbeing, including:- Counselling: Individual, couple, and family counselling, including specialised services like family law counselling. - Separation Support: Help for families navigating separation, including mediation, child contact services, and parenting programs.- Domestic & Family Violence Services: Programs for prevention, recovery, and behavioural change- Senior Relationship Services: Support for older adults, including elder abuse prevention, mediation, and social connection.- Family Support Services: Early intervention and intensive support to strengthen families facing challenges.- Workshops & Courses: Education to build skills for healthy relationships.
They offer in-person and online services across Queensland to ensure accessibility.
DV Connect Womensline
DVConnect’s Womensline is a free helpline for women and their children in Queensland who are experiencing domestic and family violence. If you identify as non-binary or gender fluid, you can call the helpline you feel most comfortable calling (Womensline or Mensline). Womensline is available 24/7, 365 days a year and can provide:- Emergency transport and accommodation- Specialist crisis counselling- Safety planning- Information, referrals & support- Safe accommodation for pets through our Pets in Crisis programAnd more.
DV Connect Mensline
DVConnect’s Mensline can support men who are using abuse or experiencing abuse in their intimate partner, ex-partner, or familial relationships. Mensline is a free and confidential helpline that assists men to change their abusive behaviours or to access safety from abuse.If you identify as non-binary or gender fluid, you can call the helpline (Womensline or Mensline) you feel most comfortable calling. Mensline is available from 9am until midnight, 7 days a week. Mensline can provide:- Support for men to change their abusive behaviour- Referrals to specialist behavioural change programs- Safety planning for men experiencing abuse- Emergency transport- Information and referral optionsAnd more.
Headspace - Chat to A Clinician
What is eheadspace?: eheadspace is a national online or phone mental health support service for young people aged 12 to 25, and for family who are seeking support about how to help a young person (aged 12-25) in their life. Designed for short term support; one session might be enough for you or you can come back at any time for another session.Who can contact eheadspace?: If you are in Australia and in the age range of 12-25 years old,Family or friends that are in Australia, and are concerned about a young person aged between 12-25. Available 9am-1am AEDT every day
Parentline
Parentline is a confidential telephone service providing professional counselling and support in Queensland and the Northern Territory. Phones are open every day from 8am – 10pm, while WebChat is available every day from 8am – 9pm.
QLife
QLife provides anonymous and free LGBTIQ+ peer support and referral for people in Australia wanting to talk about sexuality, gender, bodies, feelings or relationships either via chat or phone call. Available 3PM to midnight, every day.
Beyond Blue
You can talk to the Beyond Blue Support Service whenever you need brief telephone or online counselling. You might:- be having a really bad day- feel overwhelmed and not know where to start - have diagnosed anxiety or depression- need help to support a partner, family member or friend.Available via online chat or phone call 24/7. Free and Confidential.
13YARN
13YARN is the first national service of its kind for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people in crisis. 13Yarn offer a confidential one-on-one over the phone yarning opportunity and support with a trained Lifeline Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Crisis Supporter for mob who are feeling overwhelmed or having difficulty coping.
Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Australia (PANDA)
PANDA – Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Australia – supports the mental health of parents and families during pregnancy and in their first year of parenthood Helpline: 1300 726 306, operates Monday to Saturday (and public holidays) from 9am – 7:30pm Monday to Friday and 9-4pm Saturdays, AEST and is staffed by trained and experienced counsellors and volunteers.
