about annabelle
- Annabelle is a provisional psychologist, completing her Master of Clinical Psychology. She uses evidence-based and collaborative approaches to support clients to feel empowered and to strive for positive change. Annabelle values creating a non-judgmental and safe therapeutic space where clients can explore challenges and build on their strengths.
- Before commencing her Master’s degree, Annabelle previously worked in rural Queensland supporting young people presenting with housing difficulties, drug and alcohol use, and other complex challenges. This experience has shaped her compassionate and client-centred approach to therapy. Annabelle has therapeutic experience working with children, adolescents, and adults presenting with concerns such as anxiety, depression, substance use, self-esteem difficulties, and emotional regulation.
- Annabelle’s intervention approach is grounded in evidence-based practice drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and other attachment-informed and mindfulness-based strategies. She adapts her therapeutic style to meet each individual’s needs, offering support with warmth and flexibility. Annabelle recognises that therapy can be a challenging and vulnerable space, and strives to build connection and empathy which she believes are central to meaningful change.
